So I'm waiting to go into town for Lunch with Sarah, which is exciting because the last time I saw her was before Freshers week, way back when.
We're going to go to Eco, if that interests any of you, which it probably will, because if you're reading this your obviously interested enough in me to care about what I had for lunch.
I'm going to do my top ten highlights of 2015 because maybe when I get older I'll forget how liberating of a year it was and I won't be able to remember just how free I actually was.
Ready?
Here we go:
Okay so these are probably in no particular order from like my favourite down. Oh, I'll do them according to the Calendar, that makes more sense, cool.
Here we go #2:
January. On the 7th of January my favourite little ginger was born, ten days early. Sarah got the baking bug before she went in to have him so for the first week of 2015 all we ate was like cakes and buns and things. The house was so warm for the whole month because he slept in the sitting room during the day, it was great. Hard to believe his little face is almost one! I love him dearly, even if he does bite me while I read to him.
February. Hands down my highlight of February was my 18th birthday. There's nothing really more that needs to be said. Different circumstances I guess. But I was, and am still, so thankful for everyone that actually made the journey the whole way out to BallyG for us. Cool.
March. My favourite moment of March was getting my first ever A1 in English. It was fiction, the one about the kiss. I read it in the first ever writers bloc that you went to, all the way back in September. Still to date it is probably the best piece of work you've ever produced.
-April has no highlights because I was quite sad and quite stressed-
May. Okay, May was hella emotional. Between signing year books and days of art practicals I managed to survive and still look great while you did it. In reality I definitely looked like shit, but that's not important now. My highlight of May was grad night. Even though I cried a lot and made an idiot out of myself it was okay because grad night was the first night that all 252 of us celebrated being a team or whatever. Shout out to Ben Clarke for looking after my sorry ass, another one of the things I'll never be able to make up to you.
-June definitely has no highlights, even though it was filled with laughter and stuff-
July. My favourite day in the whole year probably, let alone just July, was the 24th. This was the day that Fran and Colum got married. The entire day was just absolutely wonderful. That is the day that I was reminded that it is possible for two people to be in love forever and I forever wish them happiness and love and glitter.
August. I have two highlights for August, is that okay?
I'm sure it is okay because I don't really have one in October or November I don't think.
#1. On the 12th of August we, my girls and I, as a team, got our leaving cert results. The highlight wasn't the actual results, the highlight was sitting in Primrose Cottage with my girls and we were laughing and joking and just so excited to be alive. It didn't matter in that moment who got the most points or whatever, it mattered that what we were going to have to all go on separate adventures but in that moment we were just collectively a team.
#2. Definitely debs, hella good. I can't even really recall separate details other than seeing that kiss and asking them to play Gold Digger by Kanye because if you don't request Kanye than did you even really go out? I spent the night dancing with the girls who meant the most to me and I managed to stay in my shows until well after midnight. Just like a princess, except I was my own Prince Charming and have been ever since.
September. UCD, without a doubt starting UCD was the highlight of my September.
There's nothing that I can even say to describe my first month away from home and out in the big bad world. Filled with tears and laughter and embarrassing encounters and whatever else having to become a person with responsibilities entails. But I made memories and friends and yeah, great.
-October has no definitive highlights that I can really remember right now, soz-
November. The only highlight of November is losing 3lbs and making my bum all lovely and defined. Other than that there's really nothing else, but there doesn't need to be when I feel as good as I do now.
December. My favourite part of December was hands down that night out with Caítlín last week. I would write all about but as I've said before, it's not suitable for the internet :-)
No matter how sick I felt the next morning I would never want to take back the night I spent with my best friend to celebrate our first semester of university.
Obviously I know that like 2015 isn't over yet and I know that Iseabail's coming down for New Years and the dream team will be unleashed in Gorey once more but yeah.
It could have been far worse like in fairness.
Whatever x
